If your sliding door is designed to retract fully into the wall cavity, then yes, you absolutely need an edge finger pull. Without one, you will have no way to grab the door to close it. If your door always sticks out a few centimetres, you may not need one, but it is still recommended for a clean finish.

Our sliding door edge and finger pulls are designed to sit flush with the door edge when not in use. To operate, simply lift the small lever with your finger to create a loop for pulling the door closed.
