Appliance/Door Pull (PH1 Rear Fix) Installation

Our Range of PH1 Pull handles can be installed as appliance pulls or door pulls throughout the home for an aesthetic & cohesive look. The below video shows installation as an appliance pull on cabinetry, which is the same process as installation on a internal/external door - only longer screws would be used.

Tools Required

Before you begin the installation, gather the following tools:

  • Drill + 6mm Drill Bit
  • Driver or Screwdriver
  • Pencil
  • Combination Square

NOTE: All Allen keys required are included with the handles

Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Step 1: Choose the location & backset

Hold the handle against the door/cabinetry and decide on the approximate location of the handle. The video has used 50mm as an example.

Step 2: Mark backset for top & bottom fixings

Using the combination square, mark the top fixing hole. Hold the handle over the door/cabinetry to ensure this is marked correctly. Now mark the bottom fixing hole by measuring out the center to center (C2C) measurement of the handle. The video example shows this at 240mm. Once both are marked, check a third and final time by holding the handle against the door/cabinetry.

Step 3: Drill fixing holes

Using a 6mm drill bit, drill the marked holes. Depending on the material & thickness, you may need to pre-drill these first, and then finish the hole from both sides to prevent splitting.

Step 4: Insert fixing screws with set of rear washers, and frontal baseplates

Mount the handle by inserting the fixing screws through the rear washers, and then through the hole. Place the frontal baseplates (with the recessed leg cut out) over the screw ready for the handle.

NOTE: The use of the frontal base plates recommended but optional for most applications.

Step 5: Screw the handle onto the door/cabinetry & assemble cover plates

Using the Allen key provided, fix top & bottom screws into the handle. Cover the heads of the screws with the matching cover plates, which create a neat finish on the rear of the door.
