Back to Back Pull Handle Installation

Our range of back to back pull handles are a perfect solution for both internal & external doors, where a stunning architectural design is required inside & out. Constructed from solid brass, our back to back pulls are where form meets function. They can be installed by themselves or in conjunction with one of our mortice locks for a secure and aesthetic entry way.

Tools Required

Before you begin the installation, gather the following tools:

  • Drill + 6mm Drill Bit
  • Driver or Screwdriver
  • Pencil
  • Combination Square

NOTE: Your back to back pull handle will come complete with a "Back to Back Kit" which contains the following parts:
2 x B2B Legs
2 x Brass Cones
2 x Leg Fixing Screws
4 x Matching Grub Screws
All Required Allen Keys

Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Step 1: Replace legs on 1 x pull handle

Unscrew the legs from one of the pull handles, and replace with B2B legs found within the Back to Back Kit. These new legs are more hollow, and are fixed in with the Leg Fixing Screws found within the kit. Ensure the external grub screws holes are perpendicular with the handle when tightening. This pull handle will be installed INTERNALLY.

** Be sure to check your legs prior to installation, as this step may already be done for you by our warehouse team **

Step 2: Mark backset and both fixings

Using the combination square, mark the top fixing hole. Hold the handle over the door/cabinetry to ensure this is marked correctly. Now mark the bottom fixing hole by measuring out the center to center (C2C) measurement of the handle. Once both are marked, check a second and final time by holding the handle against the door.

Step 3: Drill fixing holes

Using a 6mm drill bit, drill the marked holes. Depending on the material & thickness, you may need to pre-drill these first, and then finish the hole from both sides to prevent splitting.

Step 4: Insert fixing screws with both sets of washers, baseplates & brass cones

Insert the fixing screws through the brass cones (flanges facing OUTWARD), baseplates and rear washers.

Step 5: Screw the handles onto the door

Using the Allen key provided, fix top & bottom screws into the external handle so it's nice and firm. Then take the handle with the B2B legs on it, and slip it over the brass cones. Ensure the legs line up with the cut outs in the baseplate, and fasten to cones using small matching grub screws and Allen key provided.
