Half Moon Door Stop (DS1) Installation

The Half Moon Door Stop (DS1) is designed to provide a functional and stylish solution for preventing doors from slamming against walls or furniture. This guide will walk you through the installation process step by step, ensuring that you can securely and effectively install your door stop.

Tools Required

Before you begin the installation, gather the following tools:

  • Drill + Drill Bits (appropriate size/type for materials)
  • Driver or Screwdriver
  • Pencil or marker

Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Step 1: Choose the Location

Select the location on the wall where you want to install the Half Moon Door Stop behind the door. Ensure that the location allows the door to swing freely without obstruction, and the stop prevents any handles/hardware from hitting the wall behind.

Step 2: Mark & Drill the 6mm Locator Pin Hole

Using a pencil, mark where the 6mm locator pin will sit. Drill a 6mm hole into the floor.
Insert 6mm locator pin into door stop and place door stop & pin so it sits snug in the hole.

Step 3: Angle the Door Stop to sit Flush

Now the door stop is sitting in the floor, rotate it so the rubber stop will sit flush with the face of the door when in the opened position. With a pencil, mark the fixing hole, and then rotate the door stop to the side.

Step 4: Drill the Hole

Drill the hole marked with the pencil with the appropriate sized bit. The size of the bit is determined by the floor material. The plastic plug provided will be required for fixing into concrete. Clear debris and insert plug if required.

Step 5: Secure the Door Stop

Rotate the door stop back so the fixing hole lines up with the hole you've drilled, and use the timber screw to fasten the door stop.

Step 6: Test the Installation

Open and close the door to test the installation. The door should make contact with the door stop without any issues. If necessary, make adjustments to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
