The Wall Mounted Door Stop (DS2) is designed to provide a functional and stylish solution for preventing doors from slamming against walls or furniture. This guide will walk you through the installation process step by step, ensuring that you can securely and effectively install your door stop.
Before you begin the installation, gather the following tools:
Step 1: Choose the Location
Select the location on the wall where you want to install the Wall Mounted Door Stop behind the door. Ensure that the location allows the door to swing freely without obstruction, and the stop prevents any handles/hardware from hitting the wall behind.
Step 2: Mark & Drill the 3 fixing holes
Using a pencil, mark where the 3 fixing holes line up on the skirting board. Drill three 3mm holes into the skirting board.
Step 3: Screw the door stop to the skirting board
Fix the Door stop to the skirting board using a driver and the timber screws provided.
Step 4: Put the cover plate over the top
Finally, slip the cover plate over the top of the door stop, and press down firmly. Ensure the cover plate sits completely over the base plate.
Step 5: Test the Installation
Open and close the door to test the installation. The door should make contact with the door stop without any issues. If necessary, make adjustments to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
